To the Families and Volunteers of Twin Rivers Council,
Today, the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America announced an increase to the annual membership fees. These increases are a result of the growing cost of delivering the Scouting program. The fee increase, affecting both adults and youth, is set to be implemented on August 1st for new members and during the next charter renewal phase for existing members.
National has provided this web page to help answer any questions relating to the increase. It can be found here.
There are two components to the registration fee paid by our members, the fee charged by Twin Rivers Council and the fee charged by National. While our Council is also facing financial challenges caused by the impact of COVID-19, our portion of the fee is not increasing. Please use the infographic provided as a tool to better understand the costs associated with Scouting in the Twin Rivers Council.
Our Council's vision is to be the leading youth organization in all of our communities and we understand that many in those communities are facing similar financial issues. We want to work with the units to assist families who need it most. We are working on ways we can do that and as more information becomes available, we will share it on our website and our social media platforms.
Thank you for your continued dedication to the youth of our movement. As we work through these challenges, we remain steadfast in our commitment to provide a life changing program that allows for our youth to learn, grow, and thrive.
If you have specific questions regarding these changes, please reach out to your district executive or email email@example.com.
