The Good Scout Award is a prestigious award given out on behalf of the Adirondack District, Twin Rivers Council, BSA to community members who exemplify the spirit of Scouting in their daily lives through acts of cheerful service, passionate leadership, and unyielding dedication to our local community. This year, we honor Dan and Gayle Alexander, owners & publishers of Sun Community News, and Rosemary Souza-Botten a community partner.
A dinner in their honor will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at the Butcher Block, 15 Booth Drive, Plattsburgh. The reception begins at 6 p.m., with the program and dinner at 7 p.m.
This event is one of the major fundraisers for the Boy Scouts. We sincerely hope that you will help make this year’s reception a great success. Your support will help to continue our LOCAL scouting program which will produce the leaders of tomorrow.
In addition to the dinner, we are holding our annual GSAD auction. Please consider donating an item to be auctioned on October 29th.
All funds raised through this event will benefit the Adirondack District of the Twin Rivers Council, Boy Scouts of America. The district serves Clinton, Franklin, Essex, and Hamilton Counties and supports over 500 young people.
On behalf of all of our scouts, families, and advocates, we thank you for your consideration and support.
Looking forward to seeing you in October!
