The Twin Rivers Council popcorn sale is all about supporting your unit’s program.
The great program you, your leaders, parents and chartering partner provide to your Scouts requires funding, and the popcorn sale is one of the best ways to fund your unit’s quality year-round program. The popcorn sale is an opportunity for every family in your unit to participate in the success of the program.
Everyone Benefits From Popcorn! The most successful units have a planned program with specific goals, on where they want to go and how they are going to get there. Setting a goal for how much your unit needs to sell and for how much each Scout needs to sell is how your unit will have the funds needed to support your program.
Popcorn is a Proven Fundraiser for Scouting. Trails End has partnered with Scouting for over 30 years and Scouting as a whole has greatly benefited. There is no inventory or upfront expenses for your unit. All prizes are provided for by the Twin Rivers Council at no expense to your unit. Your unit keeps the commission from the money you collect, so you don’t have to wait weeks for a commission check.
Popcorn is Fun and Exciting for Your Scouts to Sell! The public loves Scouting and buying popcorn from our Scouts. Two out of three people will buy if asked to buy popcorn to support the program if asked – but they need to be asked. Over 70% of past customers say they would buy popcorn again if asked. In the Twin Rivers Council, Scouts that sell average around $265 in total sales, which is around $90 for your unit, PLUS the prizes for that Scout at no cost to your unit.
Scouts Can Earn Much More than Prizes for Themselves and Money for your Unit. There are very few activities in Scouting that demonstrate the benefits of planning, organization, team work and goal setting. The Popcorn Sale can teach your Scouts all of these plus marketing, salesmanship, public speaking and number of other skills that will serve these young men throughout their lifetimes.
What is new and improved about the sale?
- A stable product line-up of great popcorn products.
- This year is a new commission structure that has a 30% base and a 5% bonus for using the new Trails End App.
- Commissions for Online Sales will be 35%. .
- The only training we are asking you to attend is the Trails End webinar on using the App.
- Council Extended Prize Program will continue with the $1250 Club called Harry's Heroes, the Top 2 Boy Scouts and Top 2 Cub Scouts will each receive 2 Gold Season Passes to the great Escape and the next 15 Highest Sellers will each receive 2 Day Passes to the Great Escape.
