The Turning Point District is one of five districts in the Twin Rivers Council.  The District serves over 1,800 youth in 68 units. Turning Point achieved 2017 Journey to Excellence Gold Level .

Our District's geographic footprint has historical significance as the Battle of Saratoga, fought in the fall of 1777, is recognized as the Turning Point of the American Revolution.  While the Saratoga battles at Freeman's Farm and Bemis Heights are at the southern part of the District, prior to these battles the British suffered heavy losses as they moved through Fort Ann and Fort Edward.

The administrative functions of the district and its committees are overseen by the volunteer District Chairman, and the unit-service aspects of district operations are managed by the volunteer District Commissioner.  The professional District Executive advises the district's top leadership and serves as a sounding board for concerns.  Together, these individuals comprise the District Key-3.
