Winter Camping Reminders

Dear Unit Leaders,

The winter season is an exciting time at our camps. There are a lot of opportunities for activities that will keep your boys busy and having fun. With that being said, we wanted to take this opportunity to send out a couple of reminders about using our properties in the winter:

  • We try very hard to keep all main roads and parking lots clear of snow. Many hours are spent ensuring that there is safe passage through our camps for units. However, it is impossible to make sure that there is a clear path to each building and campsite. Please know that you will most likely not be able to drive right in to your campsite, or cabin.  If you need to know what access you will have, and how close you will be able to get, you should call ahead and talk to the Ranger and/or Campmaster.
  • Units are asked to use vehicles only where allowed.
  • Owners that have their vehicles stuck, will have to arrange for the vehicles removal at their own expense. The camp staff are not trained, or qualified, to tow you out.
  • We do not salt our parking lots, roads, or paths. Please keep that in mind when considering packing the proper gear to walk around the camps and when you are driving through them.
  • Many of the weeks you will find that our camps are staff by volunteer Campmasters. If you have a large function or program happening at the camp, we will need to know about your needs well in advance of the start day. Please understand that we will do our best to help you out, but may not be able to meet every request.

We appreciate your support and cooperation as we work to make the winter seasons as fun and safe as we possibly can.

If you should have any questions, you are encouraged to reach out to us.
