Naxa Nimat Chapter News

Join us as we welcome new Brothers and perform cheerful service at Rotary Scout Reservation during the annual Ordeal Weekend May 31-June 2. The weekend cost is only $15 for Arrowmen/Workers and $30 for those wishing to advance to Brotherhood. Click on the calendar online to register.

Are you interested in learning more about the meaning behind your Ordeal? Do you want to get better at public speaking? Do you want to develop long lasting relationships with your brothers in the Order of the Arrow? If so then ceremonies is the thing for you. We have many ceremonies coming up soon and need as many people as possible to create memorable ceremonies for everyone.

The Naxa Nimat Chapter of Kittan Lodge, Order of the Arrow, meets on the second Tuesday of the month. For June, the meeting time and location has changed. We will be gathering at the Clifton Park Elks Lodge on MacElory Road, beginning at 6:15, then we will participate in the Ice Cream Social Roundtable at 7:15.  All Lodge members, youth and adult, are invited to attend.

In recent activities, Naxa Nimat Chapter hosted a successful Fulton County YMCA Lock-In,helped serve and clean up at the Mohawk District Awards Dinner and played key roles in the Mohawk District Spring Camporee at Rotary, where a callout of new candidates was held.

The 2019 NE3B Section Conclave has been set for  Aug. 23-25 at Tuscarora Scout Reservation, east of Binghamton. A Star Wars theme is planned. Watch for signups in the spring.

Nicholas Pascual of Troop 4246, Clifton Park, is the Chapter Chief, with Kaleb Horning Chapter Vice-Chief of Troop 5081 in Canajoharie and Max Szczesny, Secretary, from Troop 4045 in Clifton Park.

The Naxa Nimat Chapter was created as a result of redistricting, forming the new Mohawk District, and was unveiled in October 2017 with a Chapter Merging Ceremony, joining the former Sisilija, Thayendanegea and Ta-Oun-Ya-Wat-Ha Chapters. Naxa Nimat's name means Three Brothers, and the totem is the Falcon.

James McClymonds is the Advisor, with Barb Potter, Mark Will, Scott Kilbourn, Bill Andrist, Pam Sebast and Stephen Miller as Associate Advisors.
