Naxa Nimat Chapter News

Congratulations to Nicholas Pascual of Troop 4246, Clifton Park, for being elected as Chapter Chief during the annual Naxa Nimat Chapter Banquet on Jan. 5 at the Golden Corral.

Pascual succeeds Max Schaefer, will will go on to serve as Administrative Vice Chief of Kittan Lodge. Max did a great job serving as the inaugural chief of the Naxa Nimat Chapter.

Also elected last month were Kaleb Horning, Chapter Vice-Chief of Troop 5081 in Canajoharie and Max Szczesny, Secretary, from Troop 4045 in Clifton Park.

The Naxa Nimat Chapter of Kittan Lodge, Order of the Arrow, meets on the second Tuesday of the month, beginning at 7 p.m., at the West Charlton United Methodist Church, 1331 Sacandaga Rd. (corner of Rts. 147 and 67).  All Lodge members, youth and adult, are invited to attend, and the meeting coincides with the monthly Mohawk District Roundtable at the same site so it's convenient for Troop leaders to bring their youth members along.

Next month's Chapter Meeting is set for April 9.

Election season is under way and the Fulton County YMCA Lock-In will be held March 23-24. Come to the meeting to learn how you can help.

Also coming up for Vigil Members is the annual Vigil Breakfast and Selection Meeting March 23 in Glens Falls. You can sign up now online.

The 2019 NE3B Section Conclave has been set for  Aug. 23-25 at Tuscarora Scout Reservation, east of Binghamton. A Star Wars theme is planned. Watch for signups in the spring.

The Naxa Nimat Chapter was created as a result of redistricting, forming the new Mohawk District, and was unveiled in October 2017 with a Chapter Merging Ceremony, joining the former Sisilija, Thayendanegea and Ta-Oun-Ya-Wat-Ha Chapters. Naxa Nimat's name means Three Brothers, and the totem is the Falcon.

James McClymonds is the Advisor, with Barb Potter, Mark Will, Scott Kilbourn, Bill Andrist, Pam Sebast and Stephen Miller as Associate Advisors.
