You Can Make A Difference!
Achieving both the immediate and long-range program objectives of the Twin Rivers Council becomes increasingly more challenging each year. Financial resources must be secured to guarantee sufficient means to meet these program objectives and ensure the future of Scouting in the Twin Rivers Council.
Annual operating costs must be secured through gifts from the friends and families of Scouting, United Way Support, foundation grants, and through special events and activities. Support from special events, project sales, and activities have increased each year but cannot be counted on for long-range stability. The council does not receive any federal, state or local tax support to fund Scouting programs.
The most realistic solution to this responsibility is in further development and expansion of the Twin Rivers Council Endowment Fund. This permanent, professionally managed fund is restricted in order that the principal remains in perpetuity, with only earned income used annually for the support of program.

Support of Scouting Recognitions
Encouraging gifts to BSA local council endowment funds is one of Scouting's highest priorities. It is one of the only ways to ensure that your council can continue to offer the outstanding programs they now have and also grow to meet the needs of the youth and communities it serves.
In its gratitude for such support, the BSA nationally offers three distinct endowment recognition awards. These awards are presented by the local council to donors who support Scouting's financial future with council endowment gifts.
