Service Day on the Rail Trail

Scout Service Day on the Rail Trail

Have you had the chance to walk any of the Rail Trail that runs from the City of Albany through Voorheesville and beyond? Are you looking for extra service hours? Well do we have an opportunity for you!

We will work along the Rail Trail on Saturday, September 16th.  We will work in teams to install new Mile Markers along the trail every 1/2 mile and we will also have teams working on trash pick-up along the trail.

Want to attend?

Simply click the REGISTER Button (coming soon) at the top right of this page to let us know you'll be in attendance.  There's no charge, the County is just looking to have an idea of how many volunteers to expect.

Where do we meet?

We will meet at the South Pearl Street Trail Head.  If using a GPS, use the address below:

720 S. Pearl St., Albany, NY

WE WILL WALK WEST ON THE TRAIL AND END AT THE SLINGERLANDS PARKING LOT (NEAR NEW VILLAGE DELI & PIZZA)

Parking

If you plan on attending and know someone else who will be coming as well, we strongly suggest carpooling.  Parking spaces will be limited and there is a limited shoulder on the road at the S. Pearl lot.

There is ample parking at the pick-up / end location in Slingerlands
