Fulton Montgomery Co. Honors - Geoffrey Peck and Albert Turo
As Chairman of the 2017 Fulton Montgomery Good Scout Award Event, I am inviting you to attend this year’s event which is paying tribute to Geoffrey Peck, Vice President - Nathan Littauer Hospital & Nursing Home & Executive Director – Nathan Littauer Foundation and Albert Turo, Retired VP of Planning and Development & VP of Human Resources – St. Mary’s Hospital for their continuous leadership, dedication, and support of numerous community organizations, including Scouting.
The event is to be held on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the Eccentric Club in Gloversville, with a social hour at 5:30 p.m., followed by the program at 6:30 p.m.
Each year the Good Scout Award is presented to individuals or organizations to recognize their outstanding service to their communities. This event also helps the Mohawk District, Twin Rivers Council secure the funds needed to deliver quality programs and activities to over 1,000 youth and volunteers in Fulton, Montgomery, and Hamilton counties. Over 107 years ago the Boy Scouts of America embraced teaching the values of character, leadership and service as the foundation to the organization. The Twin Rivers Council is committed to delivering those same values today with great outdoor programming to young people in our communities. The Fulton Montgomery Good Scout Award Event is a major fundraiser for the Boy Scouts. We sincerely hope that you will help make this year’s event a great success.
Again this year, we are also holding auctions, both live and silent. Please consider donating an item to be auctioned that night, May 25th. Suggested items include vacation packages, gift certificates, services, collectables—anything you think someone would bid on. Please register securely online at http://www.trcscouting.org/invest.
We hope you will join us for this special evening.
