Adirondack Friends of Scouting Breakfast

Adirondack Friends of Scouting Breakfast

The mission of the Twin Rivers Council and our local Adirondack District is to deliver a quality Scouting program to as many youth as possible. Your support and contribution are needed to continue our programs that teach positive values, develop character and sharpen leadership skills.

We are reaching out to invite you to join us for breakfast on Monday, June 5, 2017 at the Butcher Block’s Adirondack Room, Booth Drive, Plattsburgh, New York at 7:30am. In 2016, Boy Scouts of America achieved the highest number of volunteer hours in communities over the last five years.  With an unyielding focus on the four pillars of Scouting – service, leadership, learning and adventure – Boy Scouts continues to grow our leaders of tomorrow.  Our keynote speaker this year exemplifies Scouting with his 30 years as Scout Master and his life long career focus on Organizational Development with emphasis on Leadership, Innovation and Training.  Bob Eckert, CEO of New & Improved, LLC and professional speaker, returns to the North Country for this event.  We are also excited to hear from a local Eagle Scout from this year’s 2016-2017 class, Brian Byrne.

Your support will make a positive difference in the lives of youth we serve through Scouting. Please take some time to complete your reservation today to join us on June 5, 2017.  If you are unable to attend, please consider making a contribution to support local scouts. Reservations and/or donations must be received by Monday, May 29, 2017.

In the year 2017, some scouts will tie their first square knot. Some will learn the spirit of cheerful service in their community. Others will speed down their first zip line at summer camp or race their first Pinewood Derby car at a pack meeting. Some will even become Eagle Scouts. For many of our young citizens, the scouting experience provides an opportunity to grow, learn, form friendships and become leaders.

Money raised at this event supports local scouts.
