Twin Rivers Council Staff

The Scout Executive is hired by the Council Executive Board to give overall administrative and program direction to the Council, including the hiring of the professional staff.  The entire professional staff is responsible for supporting volunteers in carrying out the Mission and programs of the Boy Scouts of America.

The support staff are employees of the Council who work mostly behind the scenes and provide the ever important support services to the Council.

Council Staff

  • Scout Executive/CEO -- Mark Switzer - 518-869-6436 X37 – Youth protection concerns and issues. For emergencies and youth protection issues after hours and weekends, please call 518-869-6436 and choose the Emergencies Option.

    • Membership and Unit Service Team – The Membership and Unit Service team work in the field directly with the Units and Volunteers of the Council. They provide direction and support for: membership and registration, work with the volunteer Commissioners to support units and unit health, Charter assistance, Popcorn and Nuts for Scouting assistance, district events and training support.

    • Program and Camping Team – The Program and Camping team works with the Council Program, Properties and Training Committees to provide the many activities and events of the Council including: Cub Scout and Scouts BSA summer camp, day camp and family camp programs, Council Camporees, NYLT, Wood Badge, and manage Unit use of Scout Island, and year-round camping reservations at our Council properties, all online event registrations.

 

    • Development Team - The Development Team works with the Council and District Finance Committees to develop and carry out the various fundraising efforts of the Council including: Annual Friends of Scouting (FOS) campaign, district Good Scout Award Dinners, Council Distinguished Citizen Dinner, Employee Service Grants, Employee Match Giving and United Way/SEFA.

 

    • Administration Team – The Administration Team is comprised of Council Support Staff and a group of Office Volunteers. They provide data entry and day to day support for Eagle Scout processing, “Other” award processing (Hornaday, Meritorious, STEM/NOVA, Veteran’s Awards etc), advancement data entry, membership registration data entry, Accounts payable and accounting support.
